Okoboji Superintendent Announces Retirement

November 23, 2014

(Milford)– Okoboji school superintendent Quentin Reifenrath says he’ll retire at the end of the 2003-2004 school year.

Reifenrath made the announcement at this week’s school board meeting, saying he feels the time is right.

Reifenrath says seeing the construction and remodeling projects at the elementary school and the high school gym projects to completion will occupy a lot of his time during his final year at the reigns. He says he’ll also spend a lot of time preparing the district to meet the new federally mandated “No Child Left Behind” program.

Reifenrath says he plans to spend more time with his family and to do some traveling upon retiring.

He will have served 38 years in education…seven as Superintendent at Okoboji…when his retirement becomes effective June 30th, 2004.
