(Arnolds Park)– The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has set Tuesday, March 4th as the date for a public meeting on a developer’s proposal to build a marina on the South Shore Estates area of Lower Gar Lake.
The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. that evening in the Hedberg Theatre in the Iowa Great Lakes Maritime Museum in Arnolds Park.
The proposed project has sparked opposition from neighbors concerned over traffic congestion and other issues both on the shore and on the lake. The developer says the concerns are being blown out of proportion.
