(Spirit Lake)– A Dickinson county supervisor says it may be time for some competition in cable television, telephone and high speed internet service in the lakes area.
Paul Johnson says he’s been hearing a lot of concern over high rates…especially for cable television. He says it’s time to start looking at options.
Johnson says he’ll be contacting Spencer Municipal Utilities, which has started up it’s own cable television, telephone and high speed internet service. Johnson says he’ll see if an S-M-U representative would be willing to meet with the Dickinson county board of supervisors and representatives of lakes area cities to give them an idea of what it would take to start up such a system.
The board of supervisors Tuesday gave Johnson the go-ahead to arrange such a meeting.
