Accident Near Worthington Sends Five To The Hospital

(Worthington, Mn.)– A two-vehicle accident Sunday on Highway 59 near Worthington sent five people to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says vehicles driven by 21-year-old Jason Fredrickson of Fairmont and 53-year-old Joyce Cowden of Fulda collided in an intersection T-bone-type collision.

Fredrickson and two passengers in the vehicle he was driving, 20-year-old Alicia VanHorsen of Adrian and two-year-old Jennifer Mangel were taken to the Worthington hospital. All were treated and released.

Cowden and a passenger in the vehicle she was driving, 15-year-old Edward Warcisk, were taken to the Worthington hospital where they were treated and released.

Severe damage was reported to a 1999 Pontiac driven by Fredrickson and to a 1987 Ford pickup driven by Cowden.

The mishap took place shortly before 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
