Wahpeton Council Adopts Budget

(Wahpeton)– The Wahpeton City Council Monday adopted the city’s budget for the upcoming fiscal year following a public hearing that drew no comments.

Mayor Mike McDonough says the tax rate per thousand dollars valuation will drop to slightly more than two dollars…a 17 percent reduction from the current fiscal year. McDonough attributes a decline in the tax asking to an increase in valuation.
