November 23, 2014

(Estherville)– The Estherville Police Department says it’s filed charges against two people in separate drug cases.

Authorities say 43-year-old Timothy Baker of Dickens was arrested and charged in connection with a search warrant that was executed March 6th on an Estherville residence. Baker was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police Chief Eric Milburn says officers found 11 grams of methamphetamine, a digital gram scale and paraphernalia. Baker remains in the Emmet county jail on bond of 130-thousand dollars.

In an unrelated incident, Milburn says Estherville police pulled over 49-year-old Danny Frerichs of Spirit Lake for a traffic stop early Thursday. An investigation involving the department’s canine unit and a subsequent search turned up about four grams of methamphetamine, six grams of cocaine, cash and other items. Frerichs was charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver; one count of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of failure to prove security.

Frerichs is in the Emmet county jail on 26-thousand dollars bond.
