(Arnolds Park)– Charges have been filed against two Clay county residents in connection with an incident Monday in Arnolds Park.
Arnolds Park police say they were called to a domestic disturbance shortly after 1:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce. Authorities say an investigation resulted in the arrest of Mark Cooper of Spencer. Cooper was charged with domestic assault; operating while intoxicated, second offense; driving with a suspended license and third degree criminal mischief. Police say the latter charge was filed as the result of Cooper allegedly kicking out the back windows of an Arnolds Park police squad car.
Also arrested was Constance Adams of Gillette Grove. Adams was charged with public intoxication and permitting an unauthorized person to drive.
Arnolds Park police were assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and the Milford, Okoboji and Spirit Lake police departments.
