Dickinson Co. Supervisors Hold Hearing On Paving Project

November 23, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors Tuesday held a public hearing on a proposal to pave 240th Avenue in the Loch Nolls area south of Spirit Lake. The road is about three-tenths-of-a-mile-long and runs along the west side of a cemetary.

The public hearing drew no comments, and the supervisors decided to proceed with the project. It has an estimated price tag of 30-thousand to 35-thousand dollars.

The hearing was needed because the county plans to use state D-O-T funds. To receive the funding without holding a public hearing, a project has to meet five criteria. It didn’t, so a public hearing was needed.
