U of O Foundation To Hold Seminar On Giving

November 23, 2014

(Okoboji)– Most people don’t need much help when it comes to giving away money as many are much more interested in trying to hold onto it.

But many do give to charities, and often wonder how their contribution can be maximized so it gives the most benefit.

That will be the focus of a workshop the University of Okoboji Foundation will hold next month at the Lauridsen Auditorium in the Lakes Art Center.

“Partners in Philanthropy” will be held June 20th. The session will be presented by the St. Paul-based Minnesota Community Foundation. Organizers say it will feature ideas on giving to a community foundation and on how to establish a foundation on your own. Representatives of local charities will also be on hand to talk about their programs.

The event will be free of charge.
