Accident On West Edge Of Lake Park Injures Two

(Lake Park)– A collision this (Fri.) morning at an intersection on the west edge of Lake Park involving a car and a truck sent two people to the hospital.

The Lake Park Police Department says a 1995 Chevrolet truck driven by Brian Siemers of Lake Park was southbound on 130th Avenue and collided with a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am traveling west on County Road A-18 being driven by Angela Brouwer of Lake Park.

Brouwer and a passenger in the vehicle she was driving, Andrea Brouwer of Lake Park, were taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. The extent of their injuries wasn’t known. No injuries were reported to Siemers.

The truck driven by Siemers sustained an estimated two thousand dollars in damage; the car driven by Brouwer was totaled.

The Lake Park Police Department was assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Lake Park Fire Department, Lake Park Ambulance and Spirit Lake Ambulance.

Authorities say the investigation continues and charges are pending.

The crash took place around 7:30 a.m.
