(Milford)– The Dickinson County Landfill Commission’s yard waste site officially opens to the public Saturday (6/14).
The site is located a mile east of the intersection of 13th Street and Highway 71 in Milford on County Road A-34. It’s available to county residents to dispose of grass clippings, brush, branches and garden waste.
But it won’t be free. Disposal fees are 20 cents per bag with a minimum charge of a dollar; 10 dollars per trailer; 15 dollars per pickup; 20 dollars per single axle truck; and 30 dollars per tandem truck load. Only clean yard waste will be accepted.
The site will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Dickinson County Conservation Board is managing the site for the Landfill Commission.
