Milford Motorcycle Accident Injures Benson, Mn. Couple

(Milford)– Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident Saturday in Milford.

Police say 26-year-old Justin Campbell of Benson, Minnesota was driving a 2002 Honda motorcycle northbound on Highway 71 when he came upon a van that was attempting a left-turn onto 15th street. Campbell hit the brakes on the bike, laying it down on its left side. In the process of doing so, it barely struck the rear of the van that was being driven by 33-year-old Michael Webster of Milford.

Campbell and a passenger on the motorcycle he was operating, his wife, 23-year-old Katie Campbell of Benson, Minnesota, were treated on the scene by the Milford Rescue Unit and were taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with road rash and other injuries.

No injuries were reported to Webster.

Two thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the motorcycle; no damage was reported to the van.

The mishap took place shortly before 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
