(Spencer)– The Iowa Great Lakes Corridor of Opportunity is reaffirming its neutral stance on the gambling issue.
A news release says some people are confusing the Iowa Great Lakes Corridor of Opportunity with another group known as “Jobs for the Corridor” which has been advocating gambling.
The news release says the Corridor of Opportunity has…quoting here…”absolutely no affiliation with the Jobs for the Corridor group and has always been neutral on gaming in the Iowa Great Lakes Corridor”…unquote.
The release also refers to a recent poll the Corridor of Opportunity took among its funding partners including various governmental entities, banks and utilities. It says the responses confirmed the Corridor of Opportunity’s original neutral stance was the…quoting again…”correct stance for the organization to take”…unquote.
