(Spirit Lake)– Charges have been filed against a Fairmont, Minnesota woman in connection with a crash early Thursday in Spirit Lake.
Police say 21-year-old Jessica Inglett lost control of a 1994 Ford Taurus as she was northbound on Peoria Avenue at 20th Street. The vehicle traveled over the curb and collided with a light pole.
Authorities say Inglett then got out of the vehicle and allegedly tried to hide from officers. She was found a short time later and was taken into custody.
Inglett was charged with operating while intoxicated and failure to maintain control. She was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
Four thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle Inglett was driving. The light pole sustained an estimated 2,800-dollars in damage.
Inglett sustained a minor injury but wasn’t transported to the hospital.
The incident took place shortly before 2:00 a.m. It remains under investigation.
