(Milford)– A rural Milford woman was taken to the hospital as the result of a two-vehicle accident Friday at the intersection of Highway 71 and County Road A-34 in Milford.
Police say vehicles driven by 32-year-old Niki Unrau of rural Milford and 19-year-old Michael Mouw of Spencer collided as Unrau was attempting to make a left-hand turn. Authorities say Unrau failed to see the oncoming vehicle driven by Mouw, turning into its path.
Unrau was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare complaining of possible injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Eight thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1997 Chevrolet Venture van driven by Unrau; six thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1997 Ford Taurus driven by Mouw.
Milford police say an investigation into the crash continues and that charges are pending.
It took place around 5:30 p.m. Friday.
