Lakefield Teen Sustains Minor Injuries In I-90 Accident

(Lakefield, Mn.)– The Minnesota State Patrol investigated a two-vehicle collision Friday at the junction of Interstate 90 and Highway 86 in Jackson county.

Authorities say vehicles driven by 16-year-old Amanda Ackerman of Lakefield and 61-year-old Larry Tarr of Omaha collided in a rearend-type accident.

Ackerman was taken by ambulance to the Jackson Medical Center where she was treated for a minor injury and released. No injuries were reported to Tarr.

Extensive damage was reported to a 1989 Chevrolet driven by Ackerman; a 2003 Range Rover driven by Tarr sustained moderate damage.

The mishap took place shortly after Noon Friday.
