(Terril)– Two area school districts are looking into the possibility of whole-grade sharing. Terril is one of them.
Superintendent Bruce Tepfer tells KUOO news the school board voted Monday evening to explore the concept with the Graettinger school district. It would be effective with the 2005 school year if approved by both districts. Tepfer says the Terril school board will hold a public meeting on the issue July 30th in the Terril school lunch room. The informational meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. that evening.
The Terril school board also Monday approved an agreement to share Tepfer as an Elementary Principal with Graettinger on a part-time basis in exchange for Dan Mart sharing his position of Curriculum Director at Graettinger with the Terril and Ruthven-Ayrshire school districts. They also approved a proposal to share K-8 vocal music part-time with Emmetsburg. Those agreements are effective with the upcoming school year.
