(Milford)– Milford police have released more information into the sexual abuse of a child that allegedly took place earlier this month.
25-year-old Vicente Abad of Hialeah, Florida has been charged with five counts of sexual abuse of a child and has been indicted in federal court on one count of traveling to Iowa with the intent of engaging in sexual activity with a minor.
Police say Abad became acquainted with the minor in May of this year in a teen chat room on the internet. Authorities say several contacts took place between Abad and the alleged victim, and that he traveled from Florida to Milford on July 15th. Authorities say the two met at the victim’s residence and at a local hotel where the alleged offense took place.
Abad remains in the Dickinson county jail on cash bond of 130-thousand dollars.
