Supervisors Adopt Courthouse Bond Issue Resolution

November 23, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors Tuesday unanimously adopted a resolution calling for a special election on the courthouse bond issue referendum not to exceed 14.9 million dollars.

The election is set for Tuesday, September 30th.

This marks the fourth attempt at passing a courthouse bond issue.

The latest proposal calls for a new facility on the existing site. All offices would be combined under one roof along with a new sheriff’s office and jail.

A public informational meeting on the proposal will be held August 6th.
