Three Men Arrested On Drug Charges In Clay Co. Traffic Stop

November 23, 2014

(Spencer)– A traffic stop last week west of Spencer has led to the arrest of three men on drug charges.

Clay county deputy Jeremy Bellis stopped a vehicle last Friday night at the intersection of 190th Avenue and county road B-24. Bellis found the driver…30-year-old Clyde Duke of Everly…to be in possession of marijuana and arrested him at the scene.

Deputies along with the Spencer Police Department executed a search warrant at Duke’s residence on East Wilson Street in Everly. They found more marijuana along with drug paraphernalia. Two people at the home at the time of the search were also arrested. 30-year-old Victor Brownfield and 30-year-old Jason Langschwager of Spencer were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, a class “D” felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All three were booked into the Clay county jail.

The investigation is ongoing and authorities say more charges are likely.
