(Worthington, Mn.)– Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision Monday at the junction of highways 59 and 60 in Worthington.
The Minnesota State Patrol says vehicles driven by 24-year-old Donald Luitjens of Luverne and 20-year-old Lilivette Vazquez of Windom were involved in the crash, that took place shortly before 6:00 p.m.
Vazquez was taken to the Worthington hospital and was treated for some bumps, bruises and cuts and was released. A passenger in the vehicle Vazquez was driving, 31-year-old Bernice Ramos of Windom, was transported by air ambulance to Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls. Authorities weren’t releasing the extent of her injuries.
A 1996 Ford driven by Vazquez was declared a total loss; moderate damage was reported to a 1997 Chevrolet pickup driven by Luitjens.
