(Sioux City)– Two Clay county residents have been charged in U-S District Court with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
The charges against 30-year-old Jason Storey and 34-year-old Tammy McGrew are contained in a complaint filed August 4th of this year in federal court in Sioux City.
It alleges that from about January 2001 through August 2003 Storey and McGrew conspired to distribute methamphetamine.
The two appeared in federal court on August 8th and were ordered held without bond after the court determined they were a danger to the community. Evidence at the hearing was presented that stemmed from three search warrants executed on a residence where Storey and McGrew lived at 3330 240th Avenue in Clay county.
If convicted each faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years imprisonment and a possible maximum sentence of life imprisonment along with a four million dollar fine.
