Fostoria Man Arrested For False Imprisonment

November 23, 2014

(Fostoria)– Several charges have been filed against a Fostoria man in connection with a domestic disturbance over the weekend.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 50-year-old Harley Burger was arrested late Sunday night for the kidnapping and assault of Dorothy Burger of Spencer.

Authorities say Harley Burger invited Dorothy to his residence at 203 First Avenue southwest in Fostoria. Deputies say an argument between the two escalated into a physical assault.

Harley Burger is accused of taping Dorothy Burger’s hands with duct tape and tying her to a chair using electrical cords and christmas lights.

She eventually was unbound and allowed to leave. Authorities say Dorothy Burger received multiple injuries as a result of the incident.

Harley Burger has been charged with domestic assault while participating in a felony…a class “D” felony; false imprisonment; violation of a no contact order; and possession of offensive weapons…a class “D” felony.

He’s being held in the Clay county jail on a 26-thousand dollar bond.
