Terril Man Injured In A-T-V Accident

(Terril)– A Terril man was injured when he lost control of a four-wheeler Wednesday evening.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says the Kawasaki A-T-V, operated by 32-year-old Aaron Nichols, tumbled several times end-over-end after it struck a field approach near the intersection of county roads A-34 and N-14 north of Terril. Authorities say Nichols was northbound in the east ditch of A-34.

Nichols was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare and was transferred by Life Flight Helicopter to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Information on his condition wasn’t available.

The mishap took place shortly before 6:00 p.m.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Terril First Responders and ambulance.
