(Arnolds Park)– A long time member of the Arnolds Park City Council is calling it quits.
Garnette Anderson says she’s resigning after spending almost 10 years on the council. Anderson says she and her husband Marvin want to spend more time traveling.
Asked what she’s going to miss the most, Anderson replied it’s the people. She praised the towns residents and the city’s employees for making Arnolds Park a special place to live.
Anderson added she’s very proud of the projects that were carried out during her tenure on the city council. She says some of the major ones included the new city hall; the highway 71 project; imrovements to streets and the city’s water system; the new water tower; and the various beautification projects that have been going on in Arnolds Park.
Anderson’s resignation was effective Monday, September 1st.
