(Estherville)– Fall term enrollment at Iowa Lakes Community College has set yet another record.
College officials say overall enrollment this fall is at 3,753 students…up three-point-six percent from last fall.
Julie Carlson, Dean of Enrollment Management, says the biggest increase took place in the college’s on-line courses…where enrollment is up nearly 170 percent.
Carlson attributes the enrollment increase to the college’s faculty. She adds community colleges are benefitting from skyrocketing enrollment at regents institutions. Carlson says it’s making community colleges much more affordable, making them a very viable alternative.
