(Cherokee)– The Cherokee County Auditor is going to work for the Secretary of State’s Office.
Barb Huey will manage the election and voter registration divisions and oversee implementation of the Help America Vote Act. She’ll start her new job September 29th.
Huey has worked in the Cherokee County Auditor’s Office 24 years, 11 of them as County Auditor. She is also the current President of the Iowa State Association of County Auditors.
Secretary of State Chet Culver announced the hiring of Huey at Friday’s Cherokee County Board of Supervisors meeting.
