Clay Co. Fair Concludes; Second Largest Crowd Ever Attends

November 23, 2014

(Spencer)– The Clay County Fair is history for another year…and the final attendance figures have been tallied.

It wasn’t a record-braking year for the fair, but it did come close. 27,612 people attended the fair Sunday, bringing the nine day total to 311,273. That ranks this year’s fair second highest in all-time attendance, coming in behind the 1996 fair when 314,249 people went through the gates.

Last year the fair posted a final attendance of 310,921.

This year, the final weekend DID break an attendance record with 88,203 visitors.
