(Milford)– Classes for the 2004-2005 school year in the Okoboji school district could start earlier.
Okoboji in the past has been among a handful of Iowa districts that have opted to hold until after Labor Day to start school. But Superintendent Quentin Reifenrath says that may change for the next school year because Labor Day in 2004 doesn’t take place until September 7th.
The Okoboji school board briefly talked about the issue Monday, but no action was taken. Reifenrath says the board wants to review other calendars before taking any action.
