(Estherville)– An open house will be held next week at the Estherville Airport to celebrate recently completed improvements at the facility.
Ron Duer is the chief flight instructor at Iowa Lakes Community College and a co-coordinator of the October 7th event. He says white-topping of the runway, rennovation of the Iowa Lakes Community College Flight Center and the addition of an office room and conference center in a hangar the college acquired about a year ago were completed shortly after Labor Day.
The October 7th open house will be held from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. Airplane rides will be given at a cost of 18-dollars per person.
The airport is located just east of Estherville on Highway nine.
