Area Juveniles Injured In Accident Southwest Of Milford

November 22, 2014

(Milford)– Four juveniles from Milford and Arnolds Park were injured in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday evening southwest of Milford.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 15-year-old Ricky Goyen of Milford lost control of a 1997 Chevrolet pickup as he rounded a curve on 200th Avenue just north of 240th Street near Horseshoe Bend. The vehicle went into the east ditch and rolled several times before coming to rest in a field.

Goyen and three passengers…two female juveniles from Arnolds Park and a juvenile male from Milford…were injured. The two males were treated for minor injuries at the scene and released to their parents. The two females were transported by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare for what’s described as minor to moderate injuries.

The names of the three passengers aren’t being released.

The mishap took place around 8:30 p.m.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Milford Fire and Rescue Unit and Spirit Lake ambulance.
