(Spencer)– An investigation into a Clay county theft ring has landed one man in jail on felony charges.
Clay county authorities say they executed a search warrant around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at 3045 160th Avenue near Everly.
Authorities say the search resulted in the seizure of a stolen Yamaha ATV valued at 55-hundred dollars and a stolen 16 foot 2002 Road Husky flatbed trailer valued at four-thousand dollars.
21-year-old Joshua Allen Griffen, who lives at the residence, was arrested on the scene on two counts of second degree theft…class “D” felonies. He was booked into the Clay county jail on bond of 19,500-dollars.
Clay County Sheriff Randy Krukow says the investigation is on-going, and more arrests are expected.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Spencer Police Department and the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office.
