(Sibley)– Charges have been filed against a May City man who’s accused of taking an automobile and a tractor from a farm place in Osceola county.
The Sheriff’s Office says 44-year-old Chambers Bell has been charged with two counts of operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent…an aggravated misdemeanor; and one count of operating while intoxicated…a serious misdemeanor.
Authorities say Bell lost control of a car he allegedly stole from the farm place. The vehicle went into a ditch along county road M-12 south of May City. Authorities say Bell then walked back to the farm place and allegedly took a tractor to pull the car out.
Bell was arrested Tuesday and was booked into the Osceola county jail on bond of 6,500-dollars.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
