Fire Destroys Bailer At A Farm West Of Wallingford

November 22, 2014

(Wallingford)– A bailer was destroyed by fire Thursday at a farm west of Wallingford on the Dickinson/Emmet county line.

Wallingford Fire Chief Jarrod Fischer says his department was called to the scene shortly after 2:00 p.m.

Fischer says the bailer was totally engulfed when firefighters arrived.

The bailer, valued at 16-thousand dollars, was a total loss.

Fischer says it appears the fire was started by a hot bearing.

The Wallingford Fire Department was assisted by the Terril Fire Department.

Firefighters were on the scene about a half hour.

No injuries were reported.
