(Washington, D.C.)– A member of Iowa’s congressional delegation is headed to Iraq.
Republican fourth district Congressman Tom Latham is among a 10-member bipartisan Congressional Delegation that will visit Iraq and the Middle East.
They’re departing today (Friday). Their exact itinerary isn’t being released due to security concerns.
Latham says he’ll use the trip to see if there’s anything more Congress can do to keep soldiers safe, eradicate terrorist fighters and promote freedom in the Middle East.
