(Ruthven)– A search of a Ruthven home over the weekend has led to the arrest of a federal fugitive.
Deputies with the Palo Alto and Emmet County Sheriff’s Offices searched the home at 1401 Carr Street in Ruthven around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The search was to find a Sioux Falls man wanted by the D-E-A and Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement on federal drug charges.
33-year-old Phiou Van Cam of Sioux Falls was arrested at the residence. He is being held on federal charges of conspiracy to possess and distribute methamphetamine.
Van Cam was booked into the Palo Alto county jail.
Emmetsburg police and the Iowa State Patrol assisted in the search and arrest.
