(Milford)– Milford’s new Police Chief is coming from within.
The City Council Monday approved Mayor Virg Wahlman’s appointment of Vernon Flack to the position, effective January 1st.
Flack is a long time officer on the Milford Police Department. He says he looks forward to assuming his new duties as Chief and admits that he has some big shoes to fill.
Flack succeeds long time Police Chief Steve Zimmerman, who has retired.
Flack says he looks forward to continuing the department’s philosophy of having a strong repoire with the community as the department does its job.
Flack says they’ll now start looking for another officer to bring the department back up to its full force of four.
