(Milford)– A two-vehicle crash late Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of 17th Street and Highway 71 in Milford sent one person to the hospital.
Milford police say 53-year-old Jolene Lambert of Milford was pulling out of the Buy Rite parking lot and 43-year-old Donna Stockwell of Milford was northbound on Highway 71 when the two collided. The impact caused the vehicle Stockwell was driving to veer to the left…going up over a curb near the American Legion. Authorities say Stockwell then allegedly attempted to flee the scene and was apprehended a short time later. She was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident and operating while intoxicated. Stockwell was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
Lambert sustained minor injuries. She was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare where she was treated and released.
The crash took place around 5:00 p.m.
Police say additional charges may be pending.
