(Spirit Lake)– A weekend drug bust in Spirit Lake has resulted in charges against three people.
Spirit Lake police say they executed a search warrant shortly before 9:00 p.m. Sunday at an apartment at 1505 1/2 Hill Avenue. Officers seized substances believed to be marijuana, assorted paraphernalia and other items that have been sent to the DCI Crime Lab for testing.
Authorities say the investigation led to the arrest of 40-year-old Todd Stockwell, 23-year-old Jeremy Peterson and 29-year-old Chola Rettinghaus…all of Spirit Lake. Stockwell and Peterson were charged with possession of marijuana, enhanced; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rettinghaus was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. All three were booked into the Dickinson county jail.
Police say their investigation continues and more charges may be filed.
The Spirit Lake Police Department was assisted by the Arnolds Park Police Department and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
