Spencer Man Pleads Guilty To Manufacturing Meth

(Sioux City)– A Spencer man has pleaded guilty in federal court to manufacturing methamphetamine within a thousand feet of a Clay county park.

35-year-old Travis Edward Rouse of Spencer was charged with conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine within a thousand feet of Alvin C. Glackin Memorial Park in Dickens between about April 2002 through about February 2003.

At a plea hearing, Rouse admitted he was involved in a conspiracy and that he manufactured atleast a half pound of methamphetamine.

Sentencing is set for 3:00 p.m. February 18th, 2004.
