(Spencer)– A Spencer attorney is northwest Iowa’s newest District Judge.
Nancy Whittenburg was appointed by Governor Tom Vilsack Wednesday.
She replaces Judge Frank Nelson, who’s retiring.
Whittenburg has had her own law practice since 1988 and has served as a magistrate in Clay county since 1989.
She has Bachelor’s and Law Degrees from Drake University.
Whittenburg will serve in Judicial Sub-District 3A which includes Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Kossuth, Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola and Palo Alto counties.
