(Jackson, Mn.)– A rural Lakefield, Minnesota woman accused in the shooting death of a Spirit Lake man was back in court Monday in Jackson.
The judge granted a request for an omnibus hearing filed by a lawyer representing 39-year-old Suzanne McNulty. The hearing is set for 3:00 p.m. January 21st, 2004 in Jackson County District Court.
McNulty was charged with one count of second degree felony murder, one count of third degree murder and one count of second degree assault in the death of 34-year-old Ervin Berg of Spirit Lake.
Authorities say the incident took place sometime late November 13th or early November 14th at a residence south of Lakefield in Hunter Township. Authorities were called to the scene shortly before 10:30 a.m. November 14th when the homeowner, who had been out of town, returned and found the body.
McNulty remains in the Jackson county jail on 500-thousand dollars bond.
