(Graettinger)– A train derailment Thursday in Graettinger knocked out power to part of the town.
Authorities say three cars of a 75-car Union Pacific grain train jumped the tracks, with one of the cars hitting a utility pole, knocking out power to the east side of town for awhile.
No injuries were reported.
Mark Davis, a spokesman for the Union Pacific Railroad, says the train was enroute to Clinton when it left the tracks shortly after midnight near a crossing at Robins Street.
Davis says the cause of the derailment is under investigation.
