(Spirit Lake)– A Spirit Lake man was injured early this (Wed.) morning when a snowmobile he was operating crashed into a culvert on the north side of Highway nine west of Spirit Lake, just west of the KUOO studios.
36-year-old Kevin Poock was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare where he’s listed in fair condition.
A Yamaha snowmobile Poock was operating sustained an estimated 1,600-dollars in damage.
The crash took place shortly after 2:00 a.m.
Spirit Lake police were assisted on the scene by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, Arnolds Park Police Department and the Dickinson County Ambulance.
