(Arnolds Park)– Efforts by the Iowa Great Lakes Maritime Museum’s Board of Directors to separate the various entities it operates from the Arnolds Park Amusement Park are underway.
Letters have been sent to various organizations and individuals that have direct ties or interests with the Iowa Great Lakes Maritime Museum asking them to support the museum itself by purchasing a membership.
Dennis Ward, a member of the Iowa Great Lakes Maritime Museum Board who’s overseeing the effort, told fellow board members at a meeting last Friday that he hopes it will allow the museum to operate on its own merits, without having to take away from the other Maritime Museum operations.
Memberships are being sold at three different levels: 50-dollars for the “Captain” level; 100-dollars for the “Benefactor” level; and a thousand dollars for a lifetime membership.
