(Spirit Lake)– Charges have been filed against two Spirit Lake men in connection with a burglary earlier this month at the Taco John’s restaurant in Spirit Lake.
20-year-old Zachary Mankle and 22-year-old Joshua Poss have both been charged with burglary in the third degree…a class “D” felony; and criminal mischief in the third degree…an aggravated misdemeanor.
Authorities say Poss was also wanted on two outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions.
Mankle and Poss were charged Saturday and booked into the Dickinson county jail.
Spirit Lake police say they received the report of the Taco John’s burglary on December 15th. The restaurant had been forcibly entered and more than a thousand dollars in currency was reported missing.
Police say the arrests stem from interviews and testimony that was received from suspects in the case.
