SL Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charges

(Spirit Lake)– Drug charges have been filed against a Spirit Lake man in connection with a New Year’s Day traffic stop.

Spirit Lake police say they pulled over a vehicle around 10:30 a.m. Thursday for a traffic violation. The driver, 24-year-old William Reiter, was arrested for driving while revoked.

Authorities say an inventory of the vehicle turned up some methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Reiter was booked into the Dickinson county jail and was charged with driving while revoked…a serious misdemeanor; possession of a controlled substance…also a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor.
