(Spencer)– The Spencer Hospital has welcomed its first baby of the New Year.
Rachel Partello of Arnolds Park gave birth to a new son “Parker Elijah”, making him the first baby born in 2004 at Spencer Hospital.
Rachel says she was very happy when she was rushed to the hospital around 3:00 a.m. Friday. Her husband Darren says it was strictly a coincidence on how things worked out.
Rachel was thankful to all the area merchants that donated items to the Spencer Chamber’s annual New Baby promotion.
The Partello’s were given baskets of gifts, including a “Baby New Year” trophy, blankets, piggy banks, pacifiers, teddy bears, a potty trainer and even a gift from State Senator David Johnson.
Parker Elijah is the first child for the Partellos.
