(Arnolds Park)– The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Association has released the list of inductees into it’s Hall of Fame for 2004.
They include the Pelican Peace Band from Grimes; Little Feat drummer Richie Hayward of Ames; Bill Riley of Des Moines and Carrie McDowell of Des Moines who will be honored in the “Women Who Rock” category.
Inductees from northeast Iowa include Milk and Honey of Cedar Falls; KOEL of Oelwein and agent/promoter Fred Fenchel of Mason City.
Those being inducted from southeast Iowa include GONN of Keokuk; Prophets/Linn County Band from Cedar Rapids and the Modernistic Ballroom in Clinton.
Southwest Iowa inductees include the Fortes/Forte Enterprise of Council Bluffs; Stone Soul Picnic of Atlantic and Terry Lawless of Council Bluffs.
Inductees from northwest Iowa include the Fabulous Uniques of Mallard; the Dentairs of Spirit Lake; Daryl Shinkunis of Sioux City and Tom Bedell of Spirit Lake.
The out-of-state inductee for 2004 is Bobby Vee.
The 2004 induction ceremony will be held Saturday, September 5th at the Roof Garden in Arnolds Park.
