U of O Foundation Accepts Grant Applications

November 22, 2014

(Arnolds Park)– The University of Okoboji Foundation is accepting applications for grants to be awarded in 2004.

The foundation’s chairperson, Nadine Johnson, says the grants are made to local organizations which have federal 501-3C tax status.

Johnson says grants are awarded for capital improvement projects–not for operating expenses.

She adds the University of Okoboji Foundation awarded seven grants last year totalling 39-thousand dollars.

Over the 14 years it’s been in existence, the foundation’s endowment has grown to two and-a-half million dollars while awarding more than a million dollars in grants.

The deadline to apply for this year’s U of O Foundation grants is March 31st.

More information is available by contacting the foundation’s office at the Okoboji Spirit Center in Arnolds Park or by calling 332-7177.
